Configurations on a PC are so diverse that it is simply impossible to avoid problems with a couple. And these same technical problems can be very different: the game can slow down; a black screen may appear; may not show or may not have available servers; no Russian language; Dialogues and sound are accelerated, or game mechanisms do not work at all, or some of them do not open.
This article is designed to solve the most common errors, including crashes and glitches. However, before we move on to the solution technical problems, definitely need to check system requirements. You need to make sure once again whether your hardware meets the recommended system requirements, or at least the minimum system requirements. First of all, you shouldn’t rush to deal with problems, because there is a chance that you just need to update your video card driver, or download some program that is necessary to run the game.
The easiest way to check for the necessary software and updates is to download a program called "Driver Scanner". How is this program useful? Using this program, you can scan the system, which will allow you to find out what exactly is missing on your computer. The instructions for use are simple: download “Driver Scanner” and run it; run a system scan (it takes about five minutes) and after checking, update your outdated drivers.
There is a possibility that the problem is not even in the drivers, but in some auxiliary software. Moreover, you should not close your eyes to this, because the problem may be, for example, that you do not have “DirectX”, or that it is present old version. Below is a list of programs that are required to run the game, so take a look at them carefully and compare them with what you have on your computer. This is why low framerate issues in DOOM occur for a variety of reasons. So the game can run great for some, but slow down for others, and it doesn’t matter what kind of hardware you have.
The solution to the problem is directly related to what technical equipment you have, and what graphics settings you have set. So, for example, if the video card has 2 GB of video memory with a 128-bit bus, then the settings must be set to the minimum. If you have a 2 GB video card with a 256-bit bus, then the settings can be changed to medium. And it’s better not to try to set more, because in fact the new DOOM is very demanding and even two-year-old video cards are too weak for this game.
If you are the happy owner of a 3 GB video card with a wide bus, then you can safely install high quality. Owners of video cards with 4 GB or more can set the settings to maximum without unnecessary worry. However, even with such technical things, sometimes there are problems with particle effects and anti-aliasing, so some settings may not be too high.
A couple of glitches and slowdowns are observed immediately after several hours of stable and continuous play. However, immediately after restarting the game, everything becomes fine again. Problems like these occur due to memory leaks. This problem occurs particularly on Windows 10, so you will either have to change the operating system or wait for an update that will fix your computer.
Sometimes even this happens when changing settings does not help and the frame rate still remains unstable. In this case, you need to wait for the appropriate “patch” from the developers, or check for the availability of new drivers. It is also important to note that most of people encounter this problem with an Nvidia video card, so perhaps the problem is with the video card, so again, wait for updates.
Now is the time to check how the game is detected in the driver settings. In general, it is better to check if the game is even there, so if it is not there, then in this case DOOM should be added there. Don’t forget to go to “Nvidia Game Experience” or “AMD Radeon Crimson” (it all depends on the video card) to enable and disable the following settings there: vertical sync and vertical sync pulse.
