When, out of ignorance and inexperience, you do outright crap. I didn’t make some of the mistakes in this selection, but I heard that many people make this mistake. So, actually, a selection.

1. Selling experience potions for gold

You should never do this under any circumstances, even if you have too few heroes to spend experience banks. Always try to stock up on potions, as each next level will become more and more difficult. You'll probably get stuck between levels 50 and 70 - I got stuck. You won’t be able to upgrade all the heroes with campaigns alone, only banks, only hardcore. Here's a little math for you: to raise a hero from level 70 to 71, you will need 400 flasks of ointment or 80 jars. At the same time, you need to have at least 10 upgraded heroes for the Grand Arena, crusade, etc. (I will talk about this in other posts). I recommend focusing on 15 main characters. That is, to raise them to one level you will need 1200 cans. Don't sell experience potions!

2. Spend gems on anything else before buying stamina

Always, from the very beginning of the game, buy maximum stamina every day, even if you can only do this once without a VIP. This will give you a faster increase in experience for the squad and its individual heroes, as well as gold, gear, etc. In addition, this will be very good for your guild, because every day you will replenish its stamina treasury by a significant amount, up to the maximum 600. I would even give up Midas, which gives a good amount of gold in the early stages of the game, but gold in the future is much easier to get than experience. Believe me, we swam - we know.

3. Spend arena and ship coins not on hero stones

Never do this. Your first priority is to collect as many five-star heroes as possible. This will give you a tangible advantage over the long haul, while other beginners will spend coins on gear and other unnecessary items, hoping to be in 100th place in the arena for 5 minutes, and the next day they will fall due to the fact that their heroes are too weak to complete the portal to Outland or Trials.

4. Underestimate the Goat (Chaplain)

For some reason, many, including me, do not like this hero at the early stage of the game. This may be due to the following errors. You won’t be able to find an equivalent replacement for her AoE heal, don’t even try, but on the Ship, especially in the difficult mode, you can’t do without it. In addition, at certain moments of the battle, when the Goat lures the enemy hero to your side, you fight with 6 snouts against 4, albeit not for long. In the later stages of the game it is very difficult without a Chaplain.

5. Enchant everything

At the beginning of the game, you will most likely have very few resources to grind things. This is where many players make a big mistake by grinding everything. At first, it makes sense to enchant only those things that have highest value, and at the beginning of the game it’s blue and purple gear. I won’t go into further detail; there are still a lot of nuances about bonuses, but that’s not the point. Just conclude: completely sharpening an item, which will take quite a few other items, does not make sense, because you will most likely change it and you will have to start sharpening again from the beginning, and there are really few resources at the beginning of the game. I personally started sharpening things only to fiol+3 and higher - before that I somehow didn’t need it and felt confident on the server. Starting around lvl 85 there are more than enough resources for grinding. It might make sense to wait.

6. Chasing a place in the arena

Everyone writes differently. On the one hand, having a good place in the arena, you can quickly accumulate hero stones through daily rewards from the same arena (on Abba, for example, or Viper). But! The arena, as a rule, requires specific heroes, which cannot always be used in Campaigns, on the Ship, in Trials, etc. As a result, you become fixated on these heroes to the detriment of leveling up others. And that’s it, stupor. No one is pushing you around - enjoy the game, and let those players who can afford to pour the monthly salary of a milling worker at a factory into the game reach the top. Be smart.

7. Try headlong to complete all stages of the campaign.

Can't get past the next stage? Swing up, dress up the heroes and try again. Up to lvl 50, it makes sense to farm starting hero stones in the elite Campaign mode. Between lvl 50 and 73, prepare heroes for a later stage: farm Warlord, Spirit of Vengeance, Savage stones, etc. Of course, this can be done earlier.
