Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider will give players free rein before closing the main story. Review of the game Dishonored: Death of the Outsider Dishonored death of the outsider achievements

In Dishonored: Death of the Outsider there is always a choice. The series is known for giving the player multiple options to solve a problem and each target can be eliminated in two ways: lethal or non-lethal. The Alien and his death is another choice in the series. You will have two options: kill the Alien or leave him alive. It's all up to you. In this article I will tell you how to get both endings.

This time the ending is more than just a final choice and additional quest to complete the expansion. Your ending will completely change the world and it is better to try to go through with low chaos than to cause a big commotion and end up with an ending with high level chaos. I will also explain the reasons that can cause Chaos.

In the Dishonored: Death of the Outsider expansion, there are two main endings that can be obtained at the end of the fifth mission. You can choose an alternative way for the Alien to die or simply kill him. It all depends on you and your attitude towards this character.

The amount of chaos that results from your actions negatively affects many aspects of the game, although they are less pronounced than in previous games. Below we will describe the reasons that cause a high level of chaos.

High chaos - reasons:

  • Killing the guards.
  • Killing civilians.
  • Use of grenades or explosives.
  • An alarm has been raised among civilians or guards.
  • The greatest level of chaos occurs when you start killing everyone and everything in your path instead of using the stealth option.

Low chaos - reasons:

  • Strangulation of guards instead of murder.
  • Covert movement without detection. Anxiety disappears by itself and no one can find you.
  • Your chaos meter will fluctuate in each mission. Chaos changes the city and the counter appears after the first mission. It changes after completing the next mission, so if you finish one mission with high chaos, and then complete the next one and you have a low level of chaos, then this is because this time your character was not detected, and you were carefully hiding from enemies.
  • Due to the high level of chaos, more guards appear on the streets, but the true ingredient for the ending is how the conflict with the Alien is resolved. You can find and kill him or use an alternative method.

How to eliminate the Alien?

You have an alternative option in which your character has all his power taken away and the Alien becomes mortal again. To do this, you need to complete the following points.

In the void, take the key from the corpse on the left after you turn around.

Then find Malchiodi's blue locker and enter the code "962". Read the diary.

Go to the ritual area - after the encounter with the Alien, talk to Daud, examine the body and leave him alive. If you leave the Alien alive and take his powers, you will receive the "Final Release" achievement.

How to kill an Alien?

In this version everything is much simpler. When you enter the ritual area, simply kill the Alien. If you want to see both endings, save your game before approaching the ritual area. When checking the Alien, you can choose the option in which Billy strikes and the Alien dies. Killing an Alien will unlock the “Deicide” achievement.

More than six months have passed since the release of Dishonored 2, and only now the Arkane team has announced the release of new content.

Having dealt with my other release, - - the developers immediately moved on to the story of Corvo and Emily, which, oddly enough, actually turned out to be completed. The main character the mercenary Billie Lurk, who is already familiar to players from the original story, will become.

At the last conference, Bethesda showed a trailer for the add-on for , which was called Death of the Outsider, or “Death of the Alien.” As you can easily guess from the title (and the content of the trailer), we have to defeat a significant character in the series, who endowed players with supernatural abilities.

The girl Billie Lurk, who went to Karnaca to atone for her sins, will have to face a dangerous opponent. There she met an old friend Daoud, with whom she decided to take on the “murder of the century.”

According to , Death of the Outsider will introduce new abilities and finishing moves, as well as a ton of guns and gadgets that Billy Lake simply can't cope without.

So, she will have to win the battle with the sisters of the Order of Oracles, fight with the invulnerable Seers and with the Eyeless thugs who serve the Alien. And she also expects a bank robbery and, in fact, a duel with the Alien himself. The add-on will go on sale on September 15, 2017.

In the final fifth mission, you will have to make a serious decision that will affect the ending of Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. Given the name of this project, you probably already understood from the first minutes of the game exactly what choice you would need to make. Yes, that's right - you will need to decide whether to kill or free the Alien. Below we will tell you how to achieve both endings and what consequences they entail.

Killing the Alien - bad ending

If you decide to get rid of the Alien once and for all, it will be quite easy to do. Complete the last level by killing or avoiding enemies until you reach the ritual site. You can skip all the optional objectives, as they are only necessary if you want to free your target.

Having reached the required place, select the “kill Alien” option. After you deal with him, Daud and the main character will share with the player the idea that killers never change. The final cutscene will then play. This ending will be darker and more negative than the alternative ending of the game.

Free the Alien - good ending

Freeing the Alien will require you to complete additional tasks, therefore, it will take more time. Start the fifth mission and get to the point where you have an optional objective associated with Malchiodi's safe. Once this happens, go to the safe and crack it to get the option to free the Alien.

Here you have to decide quite interesting puzzle, however, if you don’t want to waste time on it, you can look at the combination in our safe guide. Then go to the ritual site and talk to Daud a couple of times. Eventually you will free both Daud and the Alien. The latter will turn into an ordinary mortal and begin new life. The ending itself will be brighter and more positive.

Dishonored 2 (2016). Walkthrough of the game

Dishonored 2. Walkthrough (9)

  • General information.

    9. Death to the Empress

    Ship "Fallen House"
    Dishonored 2 Walkthrough

We speak with Sokolov, next to him on the table masterpiece drawing "Two-layer Galvani impregnation" (1/3).

Two amulets appear on the ship, to get them we go out onto the deck and steal the key to the cabin from Megan Foster’s belt. With this key we open the cabin in a dead end near Sokolov, inside there are amulets (1,2 / 9) and an audiograph about Daud. Let's go to Megan and talk to her. She reveals that she was the main assistant of the assassin Daud, and her real name is Billy Lurk. We decide how to respond to this.

We sailed back to Dunwall and landed on our home shore. Now all that remains is to neutralize Delilah.

    Streets of Dunwall
    Dishonored 2 Walkthrough Dunwall Streets

In the port on the right there is a boat of bandits, there are a lot of whale bones inside, here we can read the newspapers to find out what happened in our absence.

A black market has opened in a building near the shore. Rune (1/5) and armory key.

We go out onto the main street, there are a lot of wolfhounds here, we can kill them, this will not increase the level of chaos.

The entrance to the Dunwall Courier newspaper office is blocked, but you can get inside through an alley, through a narrow opening above the rubble, or through a balcony on the 3rd floor. Inside we communicate with the surviving newspaperman, if he was not killed in the first mission.

Black market robbery. In the backyard behind the printing house building, one person took cover. In this place we find many bottles, hidden behind them key to the underground shop. (In some cases, the key may be hidden outside on a closet shelf, near the back exit of the printing house). We can return to the black market and rob it (before that we buy all the drawings, there will be no more opportunities).

From the balcony of the printing house you can climb even higher to the balcony of the neighboring house. We find ourselves in the sailor's apartment, here two bandits are looking for abandoned valuables. Having eliminated the enemies, click on the metronome on a flat wall, a secret room will open, inside there is an Alien altar, two runes (2.3 / 5) and masterpiece drawing "anti-explosive inversion" (2/3).

We get to the crossroads before the entrance to the castle. On the right you can enter the house with a safe. When the door is opened, the trap will be triggered. On the table we find the drawing (3/3). If we hacked the safe in level 1, now we can hack it again, the code is the same - 451, it is written inside an empty picture. The second time we find in the safe only a note from Dr. Galvani that he left here because of the robbery. Perhaps this was the only thing that saved his life.

On the right, along the pipes and roofs, we can climb to the balcony of our palace, from where we left in the 1st mission. In the tower room on the mattress we find black amulet (3/9). But the entrance to the treasury is barricaded, you need to look for another way.

We can enter the palace gates to go to another location. But there is another way. We enter the checkpoint to the left of the gate; inside the building you can go to another location in a safe place (the key to this door can be bought on the black market).

    Coldridge Canal

Along the water we get to the right to a door blocked with bricks. (You can swim further, around the entire castle, but there is no way to climb up there). We climb onto the canopy above the door, further along the ledges on the rocks, and along the beams around the pipes. Thus, we climb over the castle wall and find ourselves on the road.

The corpses of caretakers lie along the entire length of the road. They tried to storm the palace, but the witches stopped them. Protective plants are planted in the tunnel. A little further are petrified people. From the road we can climb onto the hill on the right and enter through the window of the greenhouse.

Greenhouse. There are 2 witches inside, 2 more at the exit on the right. They are all busy with their own affairs, we can quietly strangle them from behind. On one of the tables we find an amulet (4/9).

Outside, there are many more witches and a wolfhound around the fire.

On the left the road leads to a separate lock building. In front of the building there is another group of witches and a wolfhound. We can climb onto the building, or go along the pipes to the right of the building. On the other side of the locks, 2 witches are guarding an amulet (5/9).

To the right of the entrance to the locks there is a road down, on it there are many skulls, from which wolfhounds appear. In this place in the corner we find the picture (1/1).

Along the road we go towards the tower. In the far left corner we see a gazebo, we enter it, and inside we examine Jessamine’s grave.

Pumping station. In front of the entrance to the tower there is a pond, and to the left of it is the pumping station building. There are 2 witches inside. Inside the building we climb onto the bridge, jump under it, pressing ourselves against the wall between the pipes. Under the bridge we find the shelter of a local worker, here lies the rune (4/5).

You can enter the palace either through the main doors or through the sewer canal on the right, but first you need to neutralize the wolfhound.

    Tower corridors
    Dishonored 2 Walkthrough

In the first corridor we approach a dead end on the left, overhear a conversation between two witches, and learn that Delilah was creating runes in the workshop - this is the path to non-lethal elimination of the target.

We go into the large hall. Here the high warden is hanged on the central staircase. It is guarded by the skull of a dog. At the caretaker's two amulets (6.7 /9). Let's go upstairs. If we communicate with the statue of Delilah, it will know about our return, and it will be more difficult to defeat it. Let's climb over the rubble.

    Chapel

We arrive at the workshop in the corner of the building. Here we listen to Delilah's audiogram. We need to create a corrupted rune to upset the balance of Delilah's painting. To create a rune you do not need the corresponding skill, we just collect the items in this room. Let's take:

    1. Seaweed on the left table.

    2. Coloring matter in the center.

    3. The skull is on the right table.

We lay everything out on the central table and take it away defiled rune.

    Security room

To get to the top of the tower, we need to turn on the elevator (or find a hiding place), for this we look for the security room. We go to the far right corner, go down to the basement where the executioner used to live.

There are three panels in the room, one of them is missing a tank with blubber. We take the empty tank from the dispenser; on the right is a device for filling it with blubber. Add a tank and the elevator will turn on. At the sound of switching on, 2 witches will come, we wait for them. Not far from the blubber tanks, there is a rune (5/5) hidden on the pipes at the top.

On the lower floor in one of the side rooms there is an amulet (8/9).

On the 2nd floor one room is barricaded with a closet, a person can be seen inside. To get inside, we go into the corridor between the rooms, there are boards laid right under the ceiling, we jump onto them, and through the hatch we enter the room. There is an ordinary survivor inside, and there is an amulet nearby (9/9).

On the 2nd floor there is a room “Chambers of the Crown Defender”, where you can see how Corvo lived.

We go to the elevator or look for another way. On the 2nd floor there is an empty fireplace in the far left corner. To the left of it on the wall we press the lamp, and through the fireplace we go into the “Secret Room of Jessamine Kaldwin”. Through it you can get to the throne room without an elevator.

    Treasury

If we've been through secret room, we find ourselves inside the treasury. And if in the 1st mission we locked Mortimer here, now we find his petrified body and can read his diary. In the side room we take the last one souvenir- children's doll Emily "Ms. Pilsen". We open another door and go out into the hall.

Delilah sits on the throne and does not react to us. Three magical wolfhounds are sitting in front of her, we don’t catch their eye, after a while they will leave the hall.

If we have created a defiled rune, we add it to the throne, to its left side. Delilah won't even react to this.

We use the heart in front of Delilah, this will deprive her of immortality. She thanks us and runs inside her painting. Let's follow her.

The world as it should be
    Dishonored 2 Walkthrough

We find ourselves in the painted throne room. Delilah sits surrounded by many stone statues. Some of the statues are copies of Delilah, we can strangle them in advance, before the start of the battle.

If we try to attack Delilah on the throne, all the copies will attack us. But the real Delilah is not here at all. We destroy or stun all 6 copies.

Lightning appears in the center of the hall. We can throw a mine or a grenade at this place. Following the lightning, the real Delilah will appear. A timely bomb will stun the witch, and we can immediately take her in our hands and strangle her.

(The real Delilah is on the rock above the entrance. We can quietly stun her without fighting the copies).

We take Delilah's body, take it out of the picture, and put it back on the real throne. The witch will wake up, continue her ritual with the painting, and enter it again. Our desecrated rune will make it so that Delilah will remain inside the picture, but will consider it to be real reality.

In the Dishonored: Death of the Outsider expansion, beaten heroes try to find answers to eternal questions: who is to blame and what to do. Is the god-like Alien responsible for the actions of everyone he has bestowed with his Mark and incredible powers? At the end of his life, the killer Daoud, experiencing an existential crisis, is ready to give a positive answer to this question. How to atone? Kill the Alien.

Dishonored Death of the Outsider: review

Remember how in the first two parts of Dishonored you sneaked through the gates, stormed on the rooftops and sent hordes of bloodthirsty rats at your enemies? So: Death of the Outsider has none of this. The solo album about the adventures of Billy Lurk turned out to be secondary (which is excusable for an addition made by another team), short and not very exciting.

Free from main storyline Billy's time is having fun completing Contracts: the developers decided to save money and instead of full-fledged side missions add several mini-quests to each Black Market, more suitable for the latest Hitman. Interesting contracts can be counted on one hand: in most cases, you will not be looking for a way to complete the task itself, but will be struggling with game mechanics, preventing this task from being completed.

Billy's return to Karnaca and Daud's final "goodbye" fit into four full-fledged missions and a short prologue, which you won't remember five minutes after completing it. For the first two missions, Death of the Outsider accelerates and finally hits the magic level in the Royal Kunstkamera. Freedom of action, absence of civilians, room for maneuver - this is what was so lacking in the Bank.

By the end, the addition is blown away: graphically, the Mines and the Abyss look good, but there are no new mechanics or at least interesting riddles not here. Should I kill the Alien? Decide for yourself, fortunately the choice is made almost at the very last moment. Fans of Dishonored will most likely be curious to look into the eyes of the Alien right at the place of his permanent residence, and newcomers should skip Death of the Outsider and get acquainted with one of the full-fledged parts of the series. This will be both more interesting and clearer.

Dishonored Death of the Outsider: plot

The dying killer Daoud, before his death, wants to at least slightly change the world for the better and at the same time cleanse his karma a little. How can one earn atonement for dozens of murders carried out personally and hundreds of deaths caused by unrest in the state? Of course, another murder - this time Daoud wants to kill someone very important.

The extreme was assigned to the mysterious Alien, the lord of the Abyss, who endowed Daud and his students with his Mark and magical abilities. And it doesn’t matter that the Alien did not force Daud to kill anyone and generally stood quietly on the sidelines while the Mark bearers crushed each other. There is a god in this world and Daud is intimately familiar with him - why not try to kill the deity?

The assassin himself has turned into a wreck and is good for nothing; he will have to call the last student for help. Meet Billie Lurk, a tough, weather-worn girl with prosthetic artifacts. Do your patron one last favor and kill the Alien? No problem: Billy basically has nothing to lose.

It instantly becomes clear that dealing with a powerful entity is not so difficult. Billy only needs two things: first, an ancient knife that was once used to kill the Human Alien; secondly, access to the body of the deity. The Eyeless sect comes to the rescue: it turns out that the knife has already been found and Lerk can only get it from the carefully guarded storage.

There are no problems with penetrating the Abyss either: Billy discovers a silver plate on which the Eyeless camp at an abandoned mine is marked in the looted royal archives. A trip to the mountains, a short showdown with the Eyeless, a meeting with the Eye - and now Billy stands on the threshold of the Ritual Stronghold. Is it time to kill the Alien?

Dishonored Death of the Outsider: endings

Indeed, the name of the addition turned out to be telling: in one of the endings, Billy actually kills the Alien. This is the simplest, but “bad” ending: the heroine followed the lead of a desperate (and, spoiler, already deceased) teacher, without thinking too much about how much the Alien is really guilty of the atrocities of Daud and Billy herself.

The alternative ending of the game is more interesting. Billy will have to crawl around the Eyeless camp, find Malchiodi’s body at the entrance to the Abyss and read the scientist’s notes. So she learns that there is a way to free the Alien from captivity, turning him into an ordinary mortal: she just needs to say the true name of the deity, encrypted in his Mark.

Only a dead person can read the name, and here Billie is lucky - she just has Daoud at hand. The teacher breaks down a little, but still admits he’s right Lerk: The Alien is free and will live the rest of his life as ordinary person, Daud is laid to rest, and Billie herself, it seems, will finally begin to live in the future, not the past.
